Bollywood superstar ‘Ajay Devgn’ has also marked his entry in the stock market by investing a whopping amount of Rs 2.74 crore in the stock market. According to multiple reports, Ajay Devgn who owns a production house “Ajay Devgn FFilms’ ‘ has purchased 1 lakh shares worth Rs 2.7 crore in a multi-bagger, midcap stock. The report states that the Singham starrer actor has invested more than Rs 2 crore in a film production company “Panorama Studios International”.

With this investment, the Bollywood superstar has purchased 1 lakh equity shares of the small-cap firm by participating in its preferential issue of shares. It is worth noting that, the film production company in which Devgn invested had recently introduced a preferential issue of 10 lakh equity shares and 15.41 lakh warrants to the promoters and non-promoters. Apart from that, over the last six months, the shares of Panorama Studios International have witnessed sharp growth which is another factor that lured ten investors to buy the shares of this company.

Ajay Devgn Bought Shares At A Minimal Price Compared To Current Market Price

Regulatory filings show the name of Devgn among 9 investors who combined invested Rs 24.66 crore in the issue’s preferential share allotment. Out of this total amount invested by ten investors, The Bollywood star known for blockbusters like Drishyam and Singham franchisees has alone invested approximately Rs2.74 crore and the purchasing price comes to around Rs 274 per share. It is worth noting that Ajay Devgn bought the share at a significant discount in the wake of the closing price on Saturday. After the market was closed, the purchasing price per share was Rs 949 on the BSE which showed that Devgn bought the share at a discounted price.

The company’s 52-week high is Rs 970 per share and its 52-week low level is Rs 91 per share. The market cap of Panorama Studios International is Rs 1181.20. Over the last six months, the performance of Panorama Studios International has been on the profit side which builds the trust of the investors. With a market capitalization of just around Rs 1,200 crore, the shares of Panorama have more than doubled in the calendar year 2024 and escalated 800% in the last 1-year period. Over the last 6 months, the company has witnessed 271 per cent of sharp profit in its shares. Simply put, the investment of Panorama Studios International’s investors has doubled or more than that. Apart from this, the investors who held the company’s stock over the last one year have seen a profit of 861 per cent.

The Close Relationship Of Ajay Devgn With Panorama

Apart from being a new investor in Panorama, Ajay Devgn shares a close bond with the company as he has worked in their productions like “Drishyam”, “Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji”, and “Raid”. Even in the much-anticipated horror film “Shaitan” in which Devgn is sharing the screen with R Madhavan is not only working as an actor but also a co-producer of it along with Jio Studios and Panorama. Besides, it was earlier to get to know that Panorama has joined hands with JOAT Films and Gulfstream Pictures for the Hollywood remake of the Drishyam franchise.
