Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group is often seen active on social networking sites and is the first person who comes with job opportunities when he finds ingenious minds doing innovative pieces of stuff. This time, he was impressed with a 13-year-old Nikita of the Basti district of Uttar Pradesh who successfully used technology at her and her baby sister’s rescue. Due to her presence of mind and quick thinking capabilities, Anand Mahindra has offered her the opportunity to join his group after Nikita completes her education if ever she wishes to join the corporate world.

A few days ago, a group of five to six monkeys had entered Nikita’s home in Uttar Pradesh when she was playing with her younger sister Vamika. Reportedly the incident happened when the teen’s other family members were in separate rooms and the kids were alone. The monkeys had started creating a ruckus around the household which scared the two children. The surprising moment happened when Nikita soon spotted Alexa on the refrigerator and immediately commanded it to produce sounds of dogs barking. Soon after the command, the monkeys ran away after getting scared of the barking sounds.

This incident has attracted the attention of many people nationwide. The Mahindra Group’s chairman could not stop praising the young girl for the bravery and the presence of mind she demonstrated during that incident. Taking to his X account (formerly known as Twitter) on Saturday, Anand Mahindra wrote “The dominant question of our era is whether we will become slaves or masters of technology. The story of this young girl provides comfort that technology will always be an enabler of human ingenuity. Her quick thinking was extraordinary.” He further added, “What she demonstrated was the potential for leadership in an entirely unpredictable world. After she finishes her education, If she ever decides to work in the corporate world I hope we at @MahindraRise will be able to convince her to join us!”

Nikita’s story has set a true example of leadership and courage in the face of adversity and how technology has enabled individuals to make the most use of it.
