The rituals of Pran Pratishtha or the consecration ceremony have already started in Ayodhya. Several guests have already arrived to become part of this sacred ritual; others will come 1 or 2 days before the consecration ceremony that will be on Monday, 22nd January 2024. Many pilgrims also want to attend the event, but only a few guests are invited to be part of the ceremony including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries. As per Shri Ram Janbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust (SRJBTKshetra), the invitations have been sent to around 8,000 guests who will attend the ceremony.

For the public, an entry in the Ram Temple will be open from the next day of the inauguration. That means the public will be allowed to offer their prayers in Ram Mandir from Tuesday, 23rd January 2024. It’s assumed that millions of people will rush to offer their prayers to Lord Rama. In this regard, the Hospitality industry is working on several projects to take care of pilgrims and travellers. The inauguration of Ayodhya International Airport has already been done to make a direct route for the arrival in the city of Ram.

Many companies have already announced several projects in Ayodhya and now a new name is added to the list that announced the establishment of hotels and homes in Ayodhya. On Wednesday, 17th January 2024, the budget hospitality chain, Oyo announced the making of new hotels and homestays in Ayodhya. As per the released statement of the Hospitality tech firm, the company has set up 14 hotels and 51 homestays ahead of the inauguration of the Ram Temple in the context of providing accommodation to pilgrims.

Oyo stated that around 65 properties have been added to the platform based in the holy city of Ayodhya. These new properties aim to provide budget-friendly accommodation to pilgrims and travellers. The pricing of these rooms starts from Rs 1,000. The company stated in their released statement that these newly opened properties have been added to support the predicted surge in pilgrims after the Pran Pratishtha. The hospitality tech firm added, “To run smooth and timely operations, Oyo has partnered with the Ayodhya Development Authority and the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation.”

The official inauguration of these properties has already taken place in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, Brajesh Pathak. The hotels and homestay inauguration was attended by State Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, UP Minister for Tourism & Culture Javieer Singh, and BJP National General Secretary B L Santosh. The statement stated, “These newly inaugurated properties will increase our accommodation capacity and ensure a smooth experience for the pilgrims.”

As per the hotel chain, the company is focusing on local homestays aligned to empower the residents of the holy city and to display the cultural heritage of the city through genuine experiences. Apart from that, the third-largest hotel chain in the world made another announcement on Monday to give insight into their upcoming projects in several spiritual destinations.
