Fighter Film: A Phenomenal Success with ₹100 Crore Collection in 4 Days

Last weekend was phenomenal for the film Fighter helmed by Siddharth Anand. Within 4 days, the film successfully marked the entry into the ₹100 crore club and if the collection of the movie moves forward with this speed, it will soon enter ₹200 crore. Undoubtedly, the long weekend helped the film cross the collection of ₹100 and its storyline was enough to ignite the fire of patriotism inside the hearts of onlookers. Not only in terms of monetary but the film also meets the expectations of onlookers and people are comparing it with Shahrukh’s film “Pathaan”. Many feel this movie is much better than Pathaan and knows how to hold the people’s interest. 

Hrithik Roshan’s starring film Fighter was released on the big screen on the eve of Republic Day and since then it has been booming and pulling the attention of movie lovers. Many factors help this film to run a profitable business but the main factor is its storyline and star cast. For the first time, Hrithik Roshan has featured with Bollywood Diva, Deepika Padukone, and both are sharing the screen space with Anil Kapoor. If we talk about the movie collection in the last four days, the film has surpassed the ₹100 crore on Sunday in India. 

 

Box Office Collection of Fighter 

The reports of Sacnilk.com have shared the estimation of the collection in 4 days. According to the website, the film has earned a whopping amount of ₹118 crore neet in the nation within 4 days and the monetary stats will increase this week as well. Actors Akshay Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover have equal contributions to making this film worth watching.  As mentioned in the portal, “Fighter” accumulated an approximate ₹28.5 crore and ₹27.5 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday in India. The overall occupancy of the film on Sunday was 31.56 per cent.

Most of the booking of the theaters was for the evening as the occupancy on Sunday evening was reported at 43.38 per cent. The highest overall occupancy of the film was 63.75 per cent in Chennai and the second position was secured by Jaipur with an occupancy of 39 per cent. If we look at the overseas collection of “Fighter”, the film has collected $2.6 Million USD. It is worth noting that this film is banned in the Middle East except UAE. The stats are presenting ₹132.8 Crore of worldwide collection. The film has owned the title of the top opening film in 2024. The second and third positions are secured by “Merry Christmas(₹2.3 crore) and Main Atal Hoon (₹1.15 crore). 

 

The Storyline Of Fighter

As the title describes, the film showcases the struggle and sacrifice of the Indian Air Force. It depicts the story of Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh (Anil Kapoor), Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania (Hrithik Roshan), Squadron Leader Minal Rathore (Deepika Padukone) and other members of the elite IAF unit “Air Dragons”. This film is based on a real incident and recalls the actual account of Pakistan’s 2019 assaults on India. Fighter discusses how IAF pilots had the upper hand over terrorists and makes references to the Pulwama Incident, the Balakot airstrike, and the India-Pakistan border conflicts. All these incidents occurred in 2019. It powerfully showcases the struggle of the elite IAF unit and many heart-wrenching scenes.
