It’s been more than two months of the sudden demise of a multitalented actor and a dreamer, Sushant Singh Rajput. The late actor was self-made and dropped his engineering from DCE (Delhi College of Engineering) to make a mark in outwardly glittering Bollywood. Luckily, he turned his dream into reality and became one of the leading actors in the film industry. But, what went wrong, nobody knows, during the initial days, it was a suicide according to the Mumbai Police and other investigators, and this we watched on every channel of the Indian news. Some say the prevalent nepotism since eons in Bollywood killed him. Contrary, his girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty claimed that his mental condition was unstable or going through bouts of depression after a trip of Europe with her.

The sudden turn came into the case when the Kedarnath actor’s father, K.K. Singh filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, and Shruti Modi. The FIR includes charges of criminal conspiracy, abetment of suicide, theft, criminal breach of trust, and wrongful confinement against all of them.

Since then #JusticeforSSR# became the global campaign and the media is circulating new theories every day. Supreme Court has also given the green flag to CBI to carry out the fair probe into Sushant’s case as Mumbai Police was questioned by a multitude of journalists, people, and state governments.

Albeit the postmortem report clearly stated that it was a death caused by suicide, many discrepancies are being found in the report.  Now, CBI is heading towards a psychological autopsy of Sushant. CFSL (Centre Forensic Laboratory) will carry out the process, which in simple terms will be the postmortem of the late actor’s mind. A detailed analysis of every aspect of Sushant’s life will be investigated that involves his interaction with family and friends, behavioural patterns, mood swings, social media posts, etc. The analysts and professional practitioners will frame a picture of his mental condition days before his sudden demise.

Comprehending further, this type of investigation is quite complex and it has been used earlier in two high-profile cases of  Sunanda Pushkar and Delhi’s Burari mass suicide, which happened two years ago.

Amidst all of this, the CBI team has approached the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) seeking assistance in Sushant’s case. A panel of the four-member forensic team from the hospital will intrigue and examine the autopsy report.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra’s Apartment in Mumbai on June 14. CBI is closely introspecting the case from every angle.

Let’s see what results would come out after a thorough investigation and how long will it take to open the knots of the mysterious death.
