Maruti Suzuki Swift 4th Generation Launched in India
India’s leading Automobile Company, Maruti Swift India Limited has recently rolled out new Swift cars in the Indian Market. The all-new Swift is available to purchase in five variants and quite affordable to those looking to buy a new car at an affordable price. The range of the fourth generation is starting from Rs 6.49 lakh which will last up to Rs 9.64 lakh. As per the announcement made by Maruti Suzuki, the fourth-generation Swift was launched in India on Thursday, 9 May 2024. India’s leading automobile industry is assuming that the newly launched all-new Swift will be taking on another superhatch Hyundai i20.
Maruti Swift further announced that the budget car will also be available to purchase subscription rentals. The price of the subscription rentals starts from Rs 17, 346 per month. Hisashi Takeuchi, MD and CEO of Maruti Suzuki states before lifting the veil over the Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024 that “As a market leader, we took the responsibility to re-energize the hatchback segment at a time when this segment really needs a catalyst for growth.”
The process of the pre-bookings of the new model of Swift is underway at Maruti Suzuki dealerships across India. Those who want to purchase the new model need to pre-book it with a token amount of Rs11,000 while placing their orders. As per the report, Maruti Suzuki has already booked 10,000 units and deliveries of the new models are likely to begin from June 2024.
During the launch of the fourth-generation Swift, Mr. Takeuchi stated “Since its launch in 2005, the Swift brand has pioneered the dynamism in the premium hatchback segment and has captured the hearts of millions of customers.”
The CEO of Maruti Suzuki unveiled that the company has already made an investment of ₹1,450 crore. This heavy investment has been made during the development of the premium automobile. This includes investment in tools and dyes for the vehicle as well as the new and more environment-friendly Z-Series engine. He added that India is the country where the most Swifts are sold, with three million of the hatchback’s six million worldwide being sold there.
Mr. Takeuchi also disclosed that the model would be developed at its Sanand facility in Gujarat, from where it will cater to its customers in the domestic and overseas markets. Speaking about the features of the new hatchback, it features a redesigned exterior with a low-slung grille, a floating roofline, and a clamshell bonnet. The new Swift also has large projector headlamps with L-shaped DRLs and LED fog lamps. Looking at the safety features of the new Swift, it has 6 airbags along with 3 seatbelts, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, ESC, Hill Start Assist, and a rearview camera.
The new Swift is available in 6 exterior colors: Pearl Arctic White, Novel Orange, Magma Grey, Sizzling Red, Luster Blue, and Splendid Silver.
