Fans of Bollywood’s finest actor, Rajkummar Rao are flattered by the recent launch of the official trailer of “Mr & Mrs Mahi”. The sports-based drama features Rajkummar Rao alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Both actors previously shared the screen in a comedy-horror film “Roohi”. The audience already has high expectations from both actors as both performed well in Roohi (2021) and after 3 years of gap, they are back in action. However, their upcoming film is purely based on a sports-drama depicting a Tadka of romance.
The lead actors are featuring the journey of a newly-wed couple who joined hands to fulfil their dream: to play the best cricket of their lives. To achieve his wife’s dream, a former cricketer Mahendra turned enthusiast motivated his wife Mahima to fulfil her dream of becoming a cricketer. Simply put in a word, the film showcases the journey of a husband who helped her wife to pursue her dreams in the sport and a passion for cricket. The film is slightly different from a typical love story, a former cricketer whose ultimate goal is to fulfil the dream of his doctor wife. It is not merely a story of a newlywed couple but showcases the incomplete dreams and desires of every individual who has given up on their dreams to pursue the life that their parents want for them. It’s beautifully portraying a drama where a husband does all the possible things to fulfil his dream through his wife.
Storyline Of Mr & Mrs Mahi
The trailer of “Mr & Mrs Mahi” starts with the main characters meeting for the first time ahead of their arranged marriage. The fictional story showcases Mahendra (Mahi) played by Rajkummar Rao and Mahima (Mahi) depicted by Janhvi Kapoor. The trailer shows Mahendra, a former cricketer who wants to play cricket for the country but due to some circumstances he fails to pursue his dreams and ends up being a shopkeeper. Soon after his marriage, he learns that his wife also shares the same interest in cricket but does not take it seriously.
After watching her tremendous game playing he decides to pursue his long dream through his wife and then he decides to coach the character of Jhanvi who is unaware of her gaming skills. However, the journey of completing his dream is not an easy task and both go through ups and downs. Helmed by director Sharan Sharma, the film is produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. It is the second collaboration between director Sharan Sharma and Janhvi Kapoor after Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.
