He made a caption along these photos that reads, “With the passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament, we steer in an era of strong representation and empowerment for the women of India. Factors of Women’s Reservation Bill

The Women’s Reservation Bill which is also known as “Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam” is meant to reserve 33% of seats for women in state legislative assemblies, the Delhi assembly, and Lok Sabha. However, this quota would not apply to state Legislative Councils or Rajya Sabha. The main reason behind passing this bill is to promote gender equality in the political landscape of India.

The delimitation process will begin after the pertinent data from the first census has been published, and then the seat reservations will go into force.

Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam bill was passed in Lok Sabha on 20th September 2023 with the support of 454 members and only 2 were opposing it. It was a happy moment for women who were eagerly waiting for the approval of this bill. This bill was pending for over 27 years and finally, it was passed in Parliament during a special session. The bill promotes gender equality in Indian politics by granting women equal access to decision-making, empowering them, and fostering diverse perspectives. It aims to address gender-specific issues, challenge patriarchal norms, and promote comprehensive decision-making in the political arena.

Apart from this, a new question has been raised and people are looking to know the answer when the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam bill will actually be implemented whether it will be implemented in 2029, 2034 or 2039. Besides, Nirmala Sitharaman talked about the bill and called it long overdue on Thursday. After getting clearance from both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, the bill will now be presented in front of the President for consent. After the consent of the President, the bill will become official. As of now, we have this many details.
